i started out choosing a picture, and drew it on paper first. Then i drew the big flower first and from there i added the other flowers around it. it was successful because it came out how i wanted it. i feel like i could of made the edges a little bit straighter.
The process of making my tray set was pretty easy i started off by finding a shape to make the clay slab into. Shaping it took some time because it had to sink. And making to took a while because the small one had to go with the big one. I chose this design so it could be a dip and fruit bowl. theres nothing i would really change but if i did it would have to be making it a little smoother.
For our class installation project, me and a few other girls did a globe to represent the world. we didn't finish the whole thing in time so the hula hoop part didn't get finished. If i were/had to do that project again I would have planned it a little better when it comes to the hula hoop part. the hula hoop was supposed to have all the colors of the feeling such as: red, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange. and that would have gone around the world to show that people everywhere have feelings too. my pros from this project has to be that it looked good in the end. it wasn't to heavy. the earth was finished. Paper mache is actually easy so it didn't take as long as i thought it would and the colors and blending to make the earth look like a earth came out really good. Con would have to be that we didn't finish it. Our globe wasn't a full circle because when the ball popped inside the paper mache it started to collapse and sink in but we also had to take it out and cut it open so. If i could have had more time to do that project i would've been more careful and not popped the ball.
Picking a design was the hardest part. Knowing what to do was hard. After I picked a design it came out how I wanted it. All you really had to do is tear the paper and roll it up and make into a design. I used repetition in the tearing all the way around the peice.
